The **Ebor Handicap** closes York's four-day Ebor Festival in August. It is the biggest flat handicap in Europe by prize money, a staying handicap with a big field and no dominant favourite, which makes the each-way place terms one of the biggest things you can control.

Checked at the operators' own pages on 9 October unless stated:

- **QuinnBet** runs extra-place races every day, listed on its own promotions page with the places and fraction for each race.
- **Kwiff** offers what it calls boosted places on some races, but pays them at a fifth of the odds rather than a quarter, so each place returns less than under standard terms. Its betting rules let it withdraw the extra place if the field shrinks below a threshold.
- **LiveScore Bet** runs no standing programme, only occasional feature-race promotions.
- **William Hill** has a wider extra-places programme than most, according to our July research. We could not re-read its pages on 9 October.
- **Star Sports** has no headline extra-places programme on the big handicaps.

Extra-place offers for the Ebor itself are usually confirmed in the week before the meeting, so check on the day rather than assuming last year's terms.
