## Killarney July Festival 2026: the results, day by day

The Killarney July Racing Festival ran from **Monday 13 to Friday 17 July 2026** on the edge of Killarney National Park. This is the completed results hub: every day's key winners, with starting prices, verified from source as each card finished.

Five days that changed character as the week went on. **Monday to Wednesday** was evening Flat racing, building to the **Listed Cairn Rouge Stakes** on the Wednesday — the festival's only black-type race — where **Meriden** (11/2) stretched her winning run to five for Denis Hogan and Chris Hayes, beating the 2/1 favourite Green Carrera. **Thursday** switched the meeting to National Hunt, where **Arcland** (11/1) took the 110 Series Final Handicap Hurdle for Gavin Cromwell. **Friday's** afternoon **Lee Strand Best Dressed Ladies Day** closed the week, with **My Gaffer** (5/1) landing the feature Lee Strand Handicap Hurdle for John Patrick Ryan.

## Monday 13 July — the festival opens

The festival opened with an evening Flat card on good ground, first race 5:30pm. Seven races, no black-type — a mix of maidens and handicaps to set the week going, with the big Killarney crowds in from the off.

**Straight Up** (15/8) gave Aidan O'Brien and Wayne Lordan the opening EBF race, and **Vauntingly** (13/8) and **Highwayman** (5/2) both went in for Joseph O'Brien and Dylan Browne McMonagle, the rider ending the night with a double. The best-backed winner of the evening was **Molto Amichi** (10/11) in the Killarney Glamping Handicap for Luke McAteer and Eoin Griffin. **City of Dubai** (8/1) took the opener for Paddy Twomey and Billy Lee, who signed off with **Chicago Moon** (11/2) for Henry de Bromhead.

## Wednesday 15 July — Meriden lands the Cairn Rouge

Wednesday was the pick of the Flat leg and the festival's one piece of black type: the **Irish Stallion Farms EBF Cairn Rouge Stakes** (Listed, 1 mile, fillies), run at 7:01pm on good ground with ten going to post.

It went to **Meriden** (11/2), ridden by **Chris Hayes** for **Denis Hogan**, who stretched her winning run to five with a length-and-a-half success. The well-backed **Green Carrera** (2/1 favourite) had to settle for second for Joseph O'Brien and Dylan Browne McMonagle, with **Sky Watch** (16/1) third and **Pivotal Attack** (7/2) fourth. A progressive filly beating the market principal — the kind of result the race has thrown up since it was restricted to three-year-old fillies in 2025.
