What dutching does
Dutching is for when you fancy more than one runner in a race and can't split them. Instead of guessing which to back, you back them all — but you stake each one differently so the return is identical whichever wins. The calculator works out those stakes from a single total: more on the short prices, less on the long ones, so every winning outcome pays the same. It only turns a profit when the runners you've chosen are collectively under-priced (their combined implied probability is below 100%); cover too many and you simply pay the bookmaker's margin several times over.
Spread one stake across several selections
Backing two or more runners in the same race? Dutching splits your total stake so you collect the samereturn whichever one wins. Enter your total stake and each selection's decimal odds.

Common questions
- Dutching is backing two or more selections in the same event with stakes balanced so you win the same amount no matter which one wins. It's named after Dutch Schultz's accountant, who used it at the racetrack. It turns 'I can't decide between these three' into a single bet with one outcome — a fixed return if any of your picks wins.
Gamble Responsibly
Gambling should be entertaining and not seen as a way to make money. Never bet more than you can afford to lose. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, help and support is available.
