How does a bet-and-get offer work?
You register, deposit and place a qualifying bet of your own money - typically at minimum odds around evens - and once it settles the bookmaker credits free-bet tokens. The qualifying bet is a real bet that can lose; the tokens then carry their own minimum odds and expiry.
Do I get my stake back when a free bet wins?
Almost never. Free bets are stake-not-returned: back a 3/1 winner with a 10 pound token and you receive 30 pounds, not 40. That is the single biggest difference from betting cash, and it is why longer-priced selections extract more value from a free-bet token.
Why do these offers have minimum odds?
Without a minimum-odds rule you could place the qualifying bet on a 1/100 shot and collect the bonus nearly risk-free, so bookmakers require roughly evens or bigger. It means your qualifying bet carries genuine risk - budget for losing it.
Which bet-and-get offer is best?
The ranking above is computed from our published model: bonus returned per pound of qualifying stake, minus deductions for restrictive terms like acca-only tokens and 24-hour expiry. A bigger headline number is not automatically better - a 30 pound token you can actually use beats a 50 pound one locked to four-leg accumulators.
