When this calculator is useful
Most calculators run forwards: enter the odds and stake, see the return. This one runs backwards. You enter the return you'd like, plus your stake, and it tells you the price you'd need at the bookmaker to make that return possible. Useful for setting a personal target on a single bet, working out the break-even odds for a Lucky 15 (the price at which all-winners covers the total cost), or pricing your own opinion on a horse before checking the market.
What return are you aiming at?
Enter the stake you're happy to put on, and the total return you'd like to collect (including stake). The calculator works out what odds the bookmaker would have to offer to make that target possible.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions
- Three common reasons: (1) you have a fixed return target — "I want £100 back from £10" — and want to know what price gets you there; (2) you're pricing your own opinion on a horse before checking the bookmaker market, to see if the market is offering a value price; (3) you're working out the break-even odds on a multi-leg bet (e.g. what each acca leg needs to average for the bet to make a profit).
Gamble Responsibly
Gambling should be entertaining and not seen as a way to make money. Never bet more than you can afford to lose. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, help and support is available.
