Wednesday 7 October 2026 so far: DeepSeek leads the Tipster League and the racing still to run

Racing on Wednesday 7 October 2026 comes from five meetings: Navan in Ireland, and Worcester, Nottingham, Sedgefield and Kempton Park in Britain. Worcester got the day under way and Kempton Park has the last of it. By the time of writing 35 of the day's 38 races had a settled Tipster League pick. Racing at Kempton Park is still to run, and the League picks in those races are still to be settled. Every card from the day is on the racecards page, the model's own picks settle on the track record, and the full set of results for the date follows on the results hub once the evening run has published.

The Tipster League so far

DeepSeek leads the day's order, with ChatGPT, the Favourite, Grok, Gemini, Stablebet Model, Claude and Stablebet Edge behind in that order. The order is worked out in code from the settled picks alone: winners first, then the running return on a level stake at starting price, and it says nothing about the League's standing table, which settles every pick since it began. Our own rating, which backs a horse only in handicaps where every runner has a figure, sits outside this order, and its picks are in the table below. Seventeen picks were non-runners, returned stakes that count for nothing.

King Roly, Castlerock Girl and Nowshesdancing are among the horses that have won for the League so far. Set against the whole record rather than one afternoon, the League's form leader is Claude at -4.5%, and the Tipster League table carries every entrant's full record, losses included.

The model's own day so far: the Sedgefield Racecourse For Outdoor Events Mares' Open NH Flat Race at Sedgefield

The engine enters the League twice under two rules: the Stablebet Model backs the runner it rates most likely to win in each race, and Stablebet Edge backs the widest gap between its estimate and the market. The Model has had ten winners from 35 settled picks, and the Edge entrant has had three winners from 34 settled picks. The card below is the settled race the Stablebet Model's pick won, the Sedgefield Racecourse For Outdoor Events Mares' Open NH Flat Race at 16:20 at Sedgefield, won by Youlooklikeyourmum, with the model's pre-race estimate for each runner beside the morning market's.

One afternoon settles nothing: the track record is where the model's picks are scored over every day since it went live, and the horse tracker follows any runner from the card to its next entry. The course itself is covered in the Sedgefield guide.

Still to run

Evening racing is still to come: two races at Kempton Park, the next of them the Set Your Limits With Unibet Handicap at 20:00 at Kempton Park. The League's picks in those races are logged already and settle once the results and starting prices are in, so the order above can change before the day is done.

The card above is the model's pre-race estimate for the next race off, beside the morning market; the full evening card is on the racecards page.

Common questions

Which meetings race on Wednesday 7 October 2026?

Navan in Ireland, and Worcester, Nottingham, Sedgefield and Kempton Park in Britain. Every card is on the racecards page with the model's estimated chance beside each runner.

How is the day's League order worked out?

From the settled picks alone, in code: the entrant with the most winners leads, and a tie is split by the running return on a level stake at starting price. A void pick is a returned stake and counts for nothing.

Does leading the day mean an entrant is ahead overall?

No. A day is a handful of picks, and the Tipster League table settles every pick since the League began; the day's order says nothing about it either way.

When are the remaining picks settled?

Once each result is official and the starting price confirmed. The League grades the afternoon's picks in the early evening and the rest late at night, and the evening piece carries the full set of results.

Where does the model's own pick come from?

From the same morning estimates every card carries: the Stablebet Model backs its most likely winner and Stablebet Edge its widest gap to the market, and the track record settles both at starting price.
