What Is a No-Deposit Welcome Offer?
A no-deposit welcome offer is a sign-up bonus you receive without funding your account first โ a free bet credited just for registering, verifying your details, and (sometimes) opting in. In theory they're the punter's ideal sign-up promo: no risk, no qualifying stake, just a free credit.
In practice no-deposit welcomes are rare at UKGC-licensed sportsbooks, especially for horse racing. Of the four bookmakers Stablebet currently partners with โ Star Sports, Betfred, QuinnBet and 10bet โ none runs a no-deposit welcome. That's not an oversight: it reflects the regulatory and commercial pressures on UK acquisition offers since the 2014 Point of Consumption tax and the 2019 Affordability Checks shift, which together make the unit economics of zero-funded acquisition hard.
This page exists as an honest reference point: what a no-deposit offer is, why they're rare in the UK market, what to look at if you do find one (usually from a smaller Maltese-licensed operator), and which alternative welcome-offer shapes give better real value to a UK racing punter for not much more friction. We don't include a "Top Picks" section because we have no recommended partner with this offer shape. When one of our partners launches one โ or we add a partner that runs one โ this page will be updated with our usual rubric.
18+ | begambleaware.org. The absence of a recommendations section is intentional: ranking operators we don't have a relationship with would dilute the trust the rest of the site depends on.

Gamble Responsibly
Gambling should be entertaining and not seen as a way to make money. Never bet more than you can afford to lose. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, help and support is available.
