The Stayers' Hurdle is the three-mile hurdling championship, the feature of Thursday at the Cheltenham Festival. It became a championship race in 1972, so the roll of honour runs from then to 2026 - every winning horse with its age, starting price, jockey and trainer - with the trends that emerge across the whole history.
Every row is source-verified against two independent records; unsourced cells are left blank rather than guessed. The 2001 running is shown as not run, the Festival lost to the foot-and-mouth outbreak.
For the meeting, see Cheltenham Racecourse and the live racecards.

What the trends tell you
Read these as history, not a system. The Stayers' Hurdle rewards a genuine three-mile hurdler, and the best of them dominate: Big Buck's won it four years running (2009-2012) and Inglis Drever three times, with Ruby Walsh the leading modern jockey. Seven is the most common winning age. It is a specialist's race, and the specialists keep coming back. None of this is advice, it is simply what the race has done.
