BetTom Review 2026: Our Racing Verdict

We read the terms below on BetTom's own promotion pages, Betting Rules and cash-out terms on 23 September 2026.

Best Odds Guaranteed

If the starting price is bigger than the price you took, BetTom pays you at the starting price. Its promotion page says this is automatic, with no opt-in. It covers singles and multiples on all UK and Irish horse racing, and UK and Irish greyhound racing has the same terms. The offer is "available to new and eligible customers only", and the page does not say what makes a customer eligible.

The limits decide what it is worth. The most it will add is £100 a bet, with £100 in total for identical selections and £100 per system bet. That cap matters most on bigger stakes at long prices. Bets placed before 10:00am GMT do not qualify. Ante-post bets, special markets and international racing are outside it, and Rule 4 deductions apply as usual. BetTom also "reserves the right to restrict eligibility to the Best Odds Guaranteed offer at any time", and to "amend or withdraw this offer at any time". Read it as a concession that can be taken away.

GMT is an hour behind UK clocks during British Summer Time, so 10:00am GMT is 11:00am on the clock then. The promotion's headline gives the start as 10am with no time zone, and we could not confirm whether BetTom means 10:00am UK time all year. If you plan to bet between 10:00am and 11:00am in summer, check with live chat first.

Double Result Payout

If a race result is amended before the weigh-in, BetTom pays win bets on both the first past the post and the official result. The terms cover UK and Irish racing, win singles and multiples and the win part of each-way bets, up to £5,000 per customer per calendar day.

The place part of an each-way bet is not covered, nor is a placed horse that is demoted. Tote, ante-post, forecast and tricast bets are excluded. So are demotions for the wrong weight, the wrong course, the jockey failing to weigh in or a judge's error. Outside those exclusions it matters after a stewards' inquiry changes the order past the post. Bets on both the horse that passed it first and the horse promoted to win are paid.

Each-way, Rule 4 and ante-post

BetTom's Betting Rules use the standard UK each-way terms.

The two handicap rows override the 8-or-more row for those field sizes. Field size means the runners that come under starter's orders. We found no extra-place clause in the Betting Rules and no extra-place programme among the promotions we read. The table is the whole offering. Rule 4 deductions follow the table in the Betting Rules. Ante-post bets are accepted "on the basis all-in run or not, entered or not", so a horse that never reaches the race is a losing bet.

Daily ACCA Boost

The Daily ACCA Boost adds a flat 25% to the winnings of a winning accumulator of four or more legs. You can use it once a day, and the most it adds is £200 a day. The accumulator needs combined odds of 2/1 (3.0) or bigger, and each leg must be 1/2 (1.5) or bigger. You select the boost in the betslip. It applies to sportsbook accumulators and the terms do not exclude racing, but we did not test it on a racing accumulator.

It cannot be used with other boosts, wagering challenges or bonus funds. BetTom also "reserves the right to withhold this promotion from selected customers at its discretion".

Cash out

BetTom offers cash out on single and multiple bets, pre-match or live, but not on system bets or free bets. Its cash-out terms also exclude win and each-way bets. A straightforward win or each-way bet on a horse therefore looks ineligible, while a racing multiple may qualify. Availability is never guaranteed, and we did not place a bet to test it. If cash out on a straight racing bet matters to you, look at the bookmakers that offer it instead.

Prices

Our Margin League measures how much of every stake a bookmaker's prices keep, which we call takeout. In the data to 23 September 2026 (26 days), BetTom ranked second of 25 fixed-odds bookmakers on takeout. That is across the 590 races it priced in full out of 921 in the comparison set.

Three caveats go with that. Twenty-six days is short, so books next to each other in the table are level, not ranked. BetTom priced fewer races in full than the big brands. A book's position reflects the races it chose to price as well as how it priced them. Its coupon listed every race at all five UK and Irish meetings on 23 September. A listed race is not a fully priced one, so we do not credit full-card coverage. Read the result as evidence of tight pricing on the races BetTom prices in full.

What we could not confirm

We found no racing streams and could not confirm that BetTom shows any. One Trustpilot reviewer called its live streaming "hit and miss" in August 2026 without naming a sport, so we treat streaming as unconfirmed rather than absent. If streaming matters to you, start with the bookmakers that show racing. The Betting Rules include a rule for early morning prices and tomorrow's races are listed. We saw no prices, so we do not credit early prices. We found no bet builder on racing.

The app

BetTom has an iOS app. On 23 September 2026 the App Store showed 2.8 out of 5 from 18 ratings, with version 1.0.7 dated 27 August and a 5.9 MB download. Eighteen ratings is too few to build a picture from. The site says an Android app exists, but we found no Google Play listing.

Payments and limits

The minimum deposit and the minimum withdrawal are both £10. Withdrawals go back to the method you deposited with. The terms say card and online-payment withdrawals are normally cleared the same day. The cashier's list of methods sits behind login, so we cannot give you one. The terms name cards and online payment services. After 12 months of inactivity BetTom tries to return any balance to your last payment method. If it cannot, it gives 30 days' notice before charging a dormant-account fee of £5 a month.

Maximum winnings on sports bets are £100,000 a calendar day, other than the market limits in the Betting Rules. Winnings of £10,000 or more may be validated first, and are not paid to the extent that BetTom cannot validate them. The minimum bet is £0.25.

Support and complaints

Live chat runs 9am to 8:45pm UK time. You can also email support@bettom.com or write to the postal address in the terms, but there is no phone number. You have six months from the original transaction to complain. If a complaint is still unresolved after eight weeks, you can refer it to IBAS, the Independent Betting Adjudication Service.

Safer gambling

BetTom offers deposit limits (under My Account, Limits), time-outs of 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or 6 weeks, self-exclusion and GAMSTOP. The terms give GamCare's helpline as 0808 8020 133. Customer funds

Clause 11.2 of BetTom's General Terms says customer funds are "not protected in the event of insolvency". Keep your balance to what you plan to bet.

What we have not tested

This review rests on BetTom's published terms and public listings. We have not tested withdrawals, live chat or the app hands-on, so treat those parts as provisional.

The casino offer

BetTom's casino welcome offer is a separate promotion (50% of first-day casino losses as bonus funds, up to £50), and this review does not cover it. Only sportsbook bets count towards the offer in the next section.

The welcome offer: Get 50% Back as a Free Bet up to £25

That is BetTom's headline. In practice the offer refunds 50% of first-day net losses as a free bet, capped at £25, so you must lose £50 to get the full £25. BetTom publishes the terms on its welcome offer page, and we last checked these terms on 23 September 2026.

• New BetTom customers only, 18+, sportsbook bets only. Casino bets do not count.
• Your first day starts when you make your first deposit and ends at 23:59 UK time.
• Place at least three bets of £10 or more with real money, each on a separate event, at odds of evens (2.0) or bigger.
• First-day losses are your settled stakes less your returns before 23:59. The minimum qualifying loss is £10.
• 50% of your net loss comes back as one free bet, capped at £25. It is credited within 24 hours of qualifying, and you must use it in full within 7 days of crediting.
• The free bet cannot be withdrawn, and its stake is not returned with winnings.
• Bets placed with free bets or bonus funds, or towards the wagering of another offer, do not count.
• There is no bonus code. BetTom says not to use one on your first deposit.
• One free bet per person, family, household, email address, IP address, telephone number, payment account and shared environment.
• BetTom may restrict or remove access to the offer where safer gambling tools are active on your account or where it considers participation unsuitable.
• BetTom may amend, suspend or remove the promotion at any time at its sole discretion.

Our arithmetic, not BetTom's: a £20 loss across the first day brings a £10 refund, and a £50 loss brings £25. Any loss above £50 still brings £25.

The refund arrives as a free bet with the stake not returned, so it is worth less than the same sum in cash. The £25 is a ceiling that you reach only after a £50 loss, and because it pays only after you have lost, it is a cashback-style offer. The licensee is Bet Tom Limited, UKGC account number 64959, which you can check on the Gambling Commission public register. Confirm the current terms on BetTom's welcome offer page before you claim.

What BetTom gets right

• Best Odds Guaranteed on UK and Irish horse and greyhound racing, applied automatically to eligible singles and multiples.
• A Double Result Payout on win bets, up to £5,000 per customer per calendar day. A horse that passes the post first and is then demoted can still pay.
• Among the tightest fixed-odds prices in our Margin League tracking, on fewer races than the big brands.
• Welcome-offer terms published in full on BetTom's own site, with no bonus code to enter.
• A UKGC licence with no regulatory actions recorded, and a £10 minimum deposit and withdrawal.

Where it falls short

• Best Odds Guaranteed has a £100 cap and does not apply before 10:00am GMT. BetTom can also restrict eligibility or withdraw the offer at any time.
• The welcome offer refunds 50% of first-day net losses as a free bet. You need to lose £50 for the full £25, and the stake is not returned.
• Trustpilot customers report promotion bans, stake restrictions and account closures. Those are individual reports, not findings, but BetTom's terms let it close any account for its "commercial interest".
• Cash out excludes plain win or each-way bets, so it looks unavailable on straightforward racing bets.
• A young brand (launched May 2025) with a thin app-store presence and no confirmed racing streams, extra places or early prices.
• Customer funds are "not protected in the event of insolvency".

On restrictions, the wording is BetTom's own, in its General Terms. Clause 7.3 lets it decline or limit any bet. Clause 15.2 lets it close any account "including because BetTOM considers that it is in its commercial interest". Clause 19.1 lets it suspend an account "in our absolute discretion". The Daily ACCA Boost terms add that BetTom "reserves the right to withhold this promotion from selected customers at its discretion".

BetTom's replies on Trustpilot say any bet restrictions or account closures are "carried out in line with those terms", and that promotional restrictions may follow an internal review. Clause 8.4 rules out account restrictions after a qualifying bet in a free-bet promotion where that would stop the customer receiving the free bet. Clause 8.6 qualifies that: BetTom can prevent a customer using a bonus where it has identified "strong indicators of gambling harm". We have not verified any individual customer complaint. The overall picture

BetTom is worth an account for one kind of punter. That punter bets modest stakes, values Best Odds Guaranteed and the Double Result Payout, and has read the terms. The racing terms and the tight prices in our tracking are the draw. The welcome offer adds little, because it pays only after a loss and needs a £50 loss for the full £25. The risks are clear from the terms. BetTom has broad rights to limit bets and close accounts, and its customer funds are not protected in an insolvency. We could not confirm racing streams, extra places or early prices. If you expect to win consistently, assume BetTom may limit your stakes or close your account at its discretion under the clauses above. Never deposit more than you can afford to lose.
