The Gold Cup is the oldest and most prestigious staying race in the Flat calendar, run over two and a half miles on Ladies' Day at Royal Ascot. This is the full roll of honour from 1970 to 2026 - winner, age, starting price, jockey and trainer - with the age, market and training trends that emerge across the whole history.
Every row is source-verified against two independent records; unsourced cells are left blank rather than guessed. The 2005 running, held at York while Ascot was rebuilt, is recorded as a winner with a note - it still counts.

The Gold Cup is a specialist's race, and it shows: Yeats won it four years running in the 2000s, and Aidan O'Brien and Frankie Dettori dominate the modern trainer and jockey records. Because it is a conditions Group 1 rather than a handicap, proven stayers of real class win it, and the market is a better guide here than in the big staying handicaps.
