The Queen Mother Champion Chase is the two-mile chasing championship, the fastest and most spectacular championship race at the Cheltenham Festival. This is the full roll of honour from 1970 to 2026 - every winning horse with its age, starting price, jockey and trainer - and the trends that emerge across the whole history.
Every row is source-verified against two independent records; unsourced cells are left blank rather than guessed. The 2001 running is shown as not run, the Festival lost to the foot-and-mouth outbreak.

What the trends tell you
Read these as history, not a system. Over the minimum trip at a relentless gallop, class and speed dominate: more than two thirds of winners since 1970 were sent off at 5/1 or shorter, and the great two-mile chasers tend to win it more than once. Nicky Henderson leads the modern trainers; Badsworth Boy's three in a row (1983-1985) and, more recently, Sprinter Sacre and Altior are the standout names. Eight is the most common winning age.
